Battle of The Thermopylae
I=Interviewer L=King Leonidas
I= Thank you so much for this interview
L= No problem
I= My first question is how where you able to keep all of those Persians away for so long.
L= We made a wall and had soldiers protect each side of the wall and also picked a perfect location, next to the mountains and a large body of water.
I= Why do you put it next to the large body of water?
L= The Persians don't know how to swim which was a huge perk for us.
I= Ya it was ! One last question before you head out. Was there a special quote you said before the battle?
L=When the Persian messenger came to Sparta I pushed him down the well and yelled "THIS IS SPARTA"
I= Wow that quote sounds legendary and so does this battle maybe in the future someone will make this whole battle into a painting that maybe could MOVE!
L= Now you are talking like a madman, but thank you for having me.

Battle of Marathon
(this is the part of the interview that got cut off)
M= Our strategy was to a wall of people and when the Persians attacked the middle we circled them and defeated them.
I=Wow! Never heard of that before. One last question. Was there a quote you used to pump up your army before battle?
M= I do have on but it is not long and heart felt it short because I know that my men will be victorious."At Them" is what I said

One Word
One word I think describes why the Greeks beat the Persians is strategy. I think this make sense because each time the Greeks had a strategy and it worked on the Persians. In the Battle of Marathon they strategy the used was Phalanx and trapped the Persians causing them to win. The same type of strategy was used for The Battle of Thermopylae but the Spartans did not trap the Persians and they would of won if it wasn't for Ephialtes the traitor. The Athenians in The Battle of Salamis tricked King Xerxes into thinking that the Greek General was on his side and he gave them wrong information about the Athenians plans. This caused Xerxes to think he was going to win but ended up not actually winning. Without the Greeks strategies they would have probably not won and would of become a part of Persia.
